Relationships are the bonds of love and trust that people create with one another. They can be romantic, familial or platonic. They provide support and a sense of community. They also help us to grow and develop.
In a healthy relationship, your partner should make you feel loved, cared for and safe. They should also have a deep, loving connection with you that includes emotional intimacy and closeness. You should also be able to share your feelings, thoughts and experiences with your partner without being judged or criticised.
Healthy relationships can be supportive and nurturing, but they require work. They can also be challenging and sometimes even hurtful. The best way to stay happy and healthy in your relationships is to keep communication open, respect each other’s boundaries and maintain a strong bond of friendship.
The concept of family is a highly individualised thing and can vary greatly from person to person. Generally, though, family is the group of people that you live with and to whom you are bonded through affection, love and/or mutual dependency.
A friendship is a relationship where you regularly interact with someone and share things about your lives and interests. You can have many different types of friendships, from casual acquaintances to long-term, intimate friends.
